The 1940s were a remarkable decade for the Student Show.
Switching back to musical revue format for all but one of the ten productions of the 40s, the Student Show continued its annual appearance at His Majesty’s Theatre.
Despite wartime deprivations and shortages, the Student Show survived World War II intact, and without missing a year.
It may not be overstating the case to say that during this decade, the Show remained ever more vital to Aberdeen, as a welcome source of laughter and enjoyment during difficult times.
